Dr Andrew Tong

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & MANAGING DIRECTOR

Andrew is a metallurgist with more than 20 years of experience across project development, mining, and mineral processing.

He has previously held senior executive and board-level roles, including Chief Executive Officer and Director positions at Compass Resources and Northern Territory Resources, as well as senior roles with Goldsmith Resources in Peru and Australia Gold. Andrew brings deep technical and commercial expertise to the development of mining and processing projects.

Andrew is an inventor and holds several patents related to the processing of base and precious metal ores. He is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Joe Kaderavek

CHAIRMAN AND NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Joe has extensive experience across finance, investment management, and strategic advisory roles within the global resources sector.

He has held senior positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Five Oceans Asset Management, Bankers Trust, and Deutsche Bank. Joe has led operational reviews and strategic option assessments across mining, processing, rail, and port assets in Australia, North America, and Europe.

His background also includes equities and investment research focused on mining, minerals processing, energy storage, and battery technologies. Joe has managed investments across the global resources and minerals processing industries, including turnaround projects, mergers, acquisitions, and divestment activities.
Hugh Keller

INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Hugh brings more than 35 years of legal experience to the Board, having retired from full-time practice after a distinguished legal career.

He was a Managing Partner at Blake Dawson, now Ashurst, and its predecessor firms. Hugh has also served as a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee member of ASX-listed companies including Thakral Holdings Ltd and LJ Hooker Ltd.

His experience provides strong governance, risk, and compliance oversight to the Board.

Kelvin Bramley

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND COMPANY SECRETARY
Kelvin was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary on 1 February 2025 and brings more than 20 years of senior finance and commercial experience within the listed resources sector.

He has a strong track record delivering financial, commercial, and compliance outcomes across Australia and international jurisdictions. Kelvin’s expertise spans financial reporting, taxation, and corporate governance, supporting effective decision-making and regulatory compliance.

Kelvin holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Joel Crane

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Joel has built his career specialising in commodity and economic market analysis, with extensive experience translating complex market dynamics into clear insights for executive and investor audiences.

He brings an international perspective to Cobalt Blue, with 12 years at global financial institutions including Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank, covering major metals and bulk commodities with a focus on battery raw materials. Prior to joining Cobalt Blue, Joel spent five years at Rio Tinto in Singapore and Melbourne, where he led teams within the internal Market Analysis Group and supported executive leadership with economic and commodity analysis.
Adam Randall

OPERATIONS MANAGER, BROKEN HILL TECHNOLOGY CENTRE
Adam has more than 30 years of experience across the mining industry and mineral processing technology development, with operational and technical roles in Australia and internationally.
His experience spans gold, copper, zinc, tin, and mineral sands projects, covering mining and processing operations through to advanced research and development in hydrometallurgical processing. Adam has overseen the successful construction and commissioning of multiple pilot and demonstration processing facilities, as well as refurbishment and upgrade projects for commercial processing plants.
David Grabau

HEAD OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS
David joined Cobalt Blue in early 2025 and brings extensive experience across government, industry, and international policy, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, strategy, and critical minerals development.

Prior to joining Cobalt Blue, David held senior roles at VHM Ltd and Arafura Rare Earths, working closely with government stakeholders on strategy, capital raising, policy development, and project approvals.

He previously led resources and energy at Austrade for seven years and has additional experience at BHP, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and Australia’s Office of National Intelligence.
Heath Porteous

EXPLORATION MANAGER
Heath is a geologist with more than 18 years’ experience in the resources sector, covering a broad range of base, precious and industrial commodities.
He brings deep expertise in mineral exploration across both mature and greenfield terrains, delivering measurable outcomes through disciplined exploration programs. More recently, Heath has focused on strategic minerals, playing a key role in the sustained growth of Mineral Resources at the Broken Hill Cobalt Project.
Since 2016, exploration programs under Heath’s leadership have delivered a 270% increase in Mineral Resource tonnes and a 196% increase in contained cobalt metal, materially strengthening the project’s resource base.
Gajan Loganathan

PROCESS ENGINEER
Gajan is an experienced process engineer with a strong track record delivering metallurgical and process engineering solutions across mining and resource projects in Australia and internationally.

He has been involved across the full project lifecycle, from concept flowsheet development and metallurgical testwork through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning, with experience across upstream concentration plants and downstream refinery projects within the critical minerals sector.

His project experience spans nickel, cobalt, copper, manganese, gold, lithium, and renewable energy developments.
Adrian Naline

PROCESS ENGINEER
Adrian is a skilled process engineer with extensive experience in metallurgical testwork and process development. He has played a key role in planning, managing, and executing testwork campaigns at Cobalt Blue’s Broken Hill Technology Centre since its inception.

He has successfully delivered pilot-scale campaigns based on experimental programs, with strong analytical capability supporting the transition from pilot operations to engineering design for commercial projects. Adrian’s work underpins the development of practical and scalable processing solutions.
