The Cobalt Blue–Glomar Minerals consortium continues to advance Project Infinity, the plan to build the world's first commercial polymetallic nodule refinery in the US.

Since forming in March 2026, site selection has progressed and the first CCZ nodule samples have arrived at Cobalt Blue's Broken Hill Technology Centre, with initial testwork now underway.
