Cobalt Blue's Emma Jenkins: A Mentor for Women in Mining

Cobalt Blue is proud to support the involvement of Emma Jenkins (HR Executive – People and Culture) in the Women In Mining Networking (WIMnet) NSW Mentoring Program.

This program fosters career development for women in the minerals industry by connecting them with experienced mentors.

Emma is a strategic focused HR professional with a career spanning over 15 years across industries including mining and manufacturing. Emma joined the Cobalt Blue team last year and is a passionate advocate for empowering others in their professional journey.

Through participating in this program, Emma aims to contribute to the future of the mining industry through mentoring and coaching women. With a focus on fostering professional growth and supporting the next generation of talent in the resources sector, Emma is sharing her knowledge and experience to make a positive impact on women in the mining field. While eager to equip her mentee, Emma also sees the valuable learning opportunities inherent in participating as a mentor.

“This program is a fantastic initiative that supports women to achieve their full potential in the mining industry”, says Emma. “I firmly believe that mentorships have the power to create significant positive impact on career trajectories, and while I'm eager to share my own knowledge and experience, I'm also open to learning everything I can from the process.”

The WIMnet NSW Mentoring Program offers a unique opportunity for mentors and mentees through a structured program, one-on-one mentoring, and fostering access to a connected network of women in the mining sector.

We encourage anyone interested in participating, as a mentor or mentee, to visit the WIMnet NSW website for more information.
