Supporting the RFDS Women’s Auxiliary

The Royal Flying Doctor’s Service Women’s Auxiliary works tirelessly in Broken Hill and the region to support important causes that address community need. The Broken Hill Cobalt Project is pleased to support their fundraising efforts again this year, with a donation towards this year’s Ball.

With their annual Ball firmly established as a fundraising institution entrenched on Broken Hill’s social calendar, the RFDS Women’s Auxiliary are again preparing for another spectacular event to be held on 5th May 2023.

Last year, thanks to their efforts and the generous support of sponsors, they donated $80,000 to the local RFDS. These funds were to support Mental Health, with an emphasis on prioritising mental illness in prevention and complementary therapies at the Wellbeing Place.

Since 1989, this volunteer organisation has contributed over $2 million, locally and regionally, to support areas of need.

Along with the Ball, they continue to make and sell Traditional Christmas Puddings and conduct a range of other fundraising activities.

The Broken Hill Cobalt Project is pleased to be able to contribute to the RFDS, along with so many other businesses, organisations and individuals in Broken Hill.
